Pinflux. One of the lucky monkey's that did a really great facial expression. Kinda squinty and rat like. I loves me some goggles too. This one was fun because he'd taken his photo in overcast light, perhaps after a rain, and it flattened out the colors and the values quite a bit. So I wanted to explore subtle color and value shifts. Squint to get a good idea of what I'm doing there. He's distorted quite a bit, hope he don't mind. And that's that. I'm posting a work-up right after this, so you'll see maybe five stages in the 3 hour painting. Enjoys!
this is an awesome muse/character. he looks so calm and peaceful right now. I'm curious, since you drew him with his eyes closed, what color are his eyes?

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
