Artist's Comments
Partially inspired by the Dresden Dolls. Needs more stripes to be actual punk cabaret, but there you are. I was listening to "Pierre" (I DON'T CARE!) Hee hee.
I am not thinking his hand or the eye are bleeding, it's not blood. I was thinking more of like really slick syrup. So I tried to paint it more like candy. I'm really into rendering candy type surfaces right now. Inspired by my love of translucent super saturated goodies. The whole idea for the painting came from one of the burns of our game. When you work in 3d you often get crazy mistakes, and wacky shapes, and animation errors (check out shrek extras for an example) so I saw a really disfigured face, and found it interesting enough to try and paint. Anyway.. blah blah... too much talk. |
