This was a bitch to do. Either my first or second magic card and I had the roughest time with all those little faces in the things belly.

Half the time we (the Artists) are allowed to sort of come up with our own idea... the other half we are given reference images and have to follow a model. This was one of those times I had to paint something specific... But on the upside! This piece made it into their box and packaging art set! YAY!

Well, I'm in art school and the phrase I hear most often is "I hate you because your art is awesome" so yeah, it's my turn to say it now. I hate you because your art is awesome. Not only that but this piece in particular shows mastery in perspective which is my worst enemy. I just can't seem to get it down without making my subjects look squished or offset.
