some steps in the process. I know there's a jump in there... it is usually around then that my forebrain has shut down, and the monkey jerking off on the glass brain takes over. It's my usual method.. VERY quick lay-in, some crappy value and color overlays... then right into the opaques. After that, some details, and some other goodies. Pay attention to the color shifts. Every plane is a new color. Never let yer color be chalky, or boring. You can sometimes sell a painting with little else but some good color choices! Caw! CAW!

the color layering is the hardest thing for me.. i've never been able to do it. :/
Nice to see the process! Great work as usual. Looks very close to traditional media. Props on that bud. I'd almost like to see some highlights or glare streaks on the glasses and goggles, that would pop! Had to throw it out there... None the less wickeD job, and I like the tat on the forehead;)
You know this gets me thinking for some reason. I'd like to paint you at some point, or use you in a work. Maybe y'd be interested?:plotting:
