The Raft: SnowCrashby ~ariokh

This was done a month or two ago, a sort of landscape comp. The concept is a massive raft city comprised of lashed together boats, ships, tankers, junks and whatnot. It isn't fully realized, but i liked the color and the lighting n this one. Enjoy.

the lighting is gorgeous. The sails on the boat to the left---is it intentionally that "hot", as a way to have it pop from the overall all violet/yellow/red hue of the background? Seems to have just a bit too much pop for the rest for the image, but i can see it working if it was planned.

Okay, enough joking. Your work on this one is really, really great, and I gotta say that you really hit the nerve of what I felt about the Raft.

This book is simply amazing.
