Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang.

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Callibrate your Wacom tutorialHad you finally made the transition from intuos 3 to intuos 4?, or Are you rich to change into an intuos 5? Had you made the transition from a first generation cintiq to the new ones?. More levels of pressure will mean more quality to the paintings, am i right?.
Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.

So, my bloody page has been completely infested with these damn "click here" spam messages. And I understand all you guys got phished, it really sucks. I hope you learned from your mistake and you'll be more careful about your passwords. That said. I have easily three pages and growing of nothing BUT spam, as comments. And they are mostly repeats. So I am going to start blocking you effective Monday. It's nothing personal, it's just that you guys need to get a reign on your accounts because I can't abide pointless advertising, and irritation. And spam is nothing if not both. So, consider yerself warned.

Sorry about all that.

Anyhoo. I plan on updating shortly, I've got a small mess of cards that are now published so I can post em, and I have a short break in freelance coming up so I'll be able to do some personal work again real soon. (hopefully)

I haven't been able to ride my bike as much as I'd like, it's been raining pretty hard but irregularly in LA, so I have no idea when it'd be a good time or not.

I'm feeling lazy today, so that's that.

Haha im fine. But its absolutely terrifying how many people its taken. I cant believe it. Thank god i only have 4 family member down there, and at the moment the fire is about an hour and a half from their place so their not in danger yet.

but it at least taught me about phishing links and spam. . .).
